With our OEM set of Michelins starting to wear down, it will be time to replace them soon. However, for us that have the 17" alloys, an OEM 235/60 17
size is a pretty rare and expensive as I have been routinely checking places. Both my Elantra and the Sedona came with OEM Michelin Energys, and all I got was
about 30K on the Elantra. It looks like I might not even get that on the Sedona (approaching 24K).
So, I have been looking for alternatives. If they made the Yokohama V4s / H4s like I have on my Elantra in that size, I would buy it no matter what the cost (within reason). It is a great all season performance tire, and tread life has been great. The closest thing I have found in a close size is an Avid TRZ. The size is a 215/65 17. The good thing is the diameter is essentially the same, so little to no speedo errors, but the 3/4 inch decrease in width may help the fuel economy by decreasing the rolling resistance. This is the closest size to stock size I can find readily. For those who are curious, here is a tire calculator
