Unfortunately, Hyundai/Kia does not offer an in dash Navigation unit for the
Entourage/Sedona. It's probably for cost cutting reasons. There is, however, a Bluetooth option, which costs around $330, but does require that you get
rid of the conversation mirror, which, if you have kids, is an important feature.
In dash units are nice since they have an intergrated look, double as a radio/DVD unit, big screen, and usually have a lot of bells and whistles, but can cost a few hundred to a thousand dollars.
I did some research and found that the Garmin Nuvi 265T fit my needs. It's the smaller of the screen sizes (3.5 vs 4.3"), has free lifetime traffic, has easily upgradeable maps and software, and being a Garmin, is one of the better units (IMHO). It also has built in Bluetooth.
I chose to mount it to the right of the HVAC controls using a Panavise mount made specifically for the Entourage/Sedona. I cut the lower edge of the mounting plate so that the the Garmin ball mount adapter ( http://outlookproducts.ec...m/product.php?pid=1505984 ) fit flush and used another mount ( http://www.semsons.com/ganu4hoamadm.html) with the ball part removed for the back side to give a finished look. I know that the ball mount adapter is pricey for what it is, but the piece is very high quality and you'd be hard pressed to duplicate it. It looks and feels much better than I expected from the picture.
I tapped power from the cigarette lighter which is switched (important). I used a Dremmel tool to notch a little hole for the power cable and ran the Radio Shack cigarette lighter power receptacle and Garmin power cable to the passenger footwell and placed both in the little space near in the center console near the passengers' left foot. The Garmin 12V cigarette plug adapter can be easily accessed here for changing the fuse, if need be.
Note that the size of the unit is critical as I can still fully open the upper glove box door without hitting the GPS. If the unit were any larger, there could be issues with clearing the upper glove box door.
Overall, very easy install and not too expensive. $175 for the Garmin unit, $10 for the Radio Shack adapter, $.50 for the powerline taps, $25 for the Panavise mount, and about $40 for the other two ball mounts = $250
